Financial tools for Odoo Community

The plumbing Enterprise took with it.

Bank reconciliation, payment processors, and tax for Odoo Community: rules-based, never a model guessing. Every run is a dry-run first; every write is yours to approve.

Why Ronin

Books are no place to guess.

Odoo Community quietly drops features Enterprise keeps, and the bank-reconciliation widget is the one that hurts. Ronin fills those gaps with plumbing you can audit line by line. Three principles, enforced in code.

⚙️

Deterministic, not AI

Categorization is a rules table plus code, never a model deciding accounts at runtime. Same inputs, same posting, every time. (The AI lives in Bosun; your ledger stays boring.)

🔎

Dry-run, then approve

Every tool scans read-only first and shows you exactly what it would post. You review, you apply, and the ledger steps are reversible. No surprise writes.

🪶

Community-first

Each module closes a real CE-vs-Enterprise gap and depends only on what it needs: account and little else. Drop it in, no Enterprise bill.

The flagship

Bank reconciliation for CE.

Enterprise auto-applies your reconcile-model rules. Community removed the widget, so those rules sit unused and every statement line is manual. ronin_bank_reconcile is the missing applier.

  • Scan, don't gamble. A read-only dry-run builds proposals from your existing rules: journal, label, regex, amount.
  • Apply, safely. A CE-safe counterpart swap clears suspense and reconciles the line, with a double-count guard for transfer traps.
  • Proven on real books. Validated read-only against a live ledger: 322 of 660 unreconciled lines categorized correctly on the first pass.

The financial family

One discipline, every money workflow.

Reconciliation is the first blade. Ronin grows into the financial-ops jobs CE leaves you to hand-build, each module the same deterministic, dry-run-first shape.

  • Bank-feed sync: pull transactions straight into Odoo.
  • Payment connectors: Stripe & Square payouts reconciled to clearing.
  • Tax: US sales-tax automation and corporate-income-tax filing.
  • A/R forensics: match messy customer receipts to open invoices.
  • Cash outlook: cash today, a day-by-day projection from the bank feed, and its low point. Running in our own shop; being packaged for general release.
